JAMMU, Sept 27: Advisor to the Governor, Khurshid Ahmed Ganai today listened to people’s issues under the aegis of Governor’s Grievance Cell.
Several delegations of Sarpanchs and Panchs from Dansal block projected developmental issues of their respective panchayats. They sought maintenance of road from Sangar to Kared Mohalla, opening of Animal Husbandry Sub Centre at Pounthal, requirement of basic facilities at Anaganwari Centres at Pounthal, Change of jurisdiction of Panchayat halqa Pounthal from Tehsil Jammu to tehsil Dansal, upgradation of link road from main road Chappar to Janakha, construction of water tank at Badola, construction of Dugwell and replacement of water supply line in Janakha, Chhappar and Sandrote, installation of hand pump at Government middle School Janakha.
The deputation also demanded construction of bridge over Jhajjar Nallah connecting Garnee to Chhutra via Shamshan Ghat and upgradation of link roads in Panchayat Chhurta.
A deputation of village Dhanwalt of Udhampur district demanded construction of link road from Bhaila Reservoir to Government High School Konain, road from Ayurvedic Dispensary to Mohra Sushal, , upgradation of Govt. High School Kanain to Higher Secondary level and many others.
A deputation of Federation of Registered Travel Association Jammu demanded for organizing tourism promotional activities, including road shows tourism festivals during winter months to project Jammu as independent tourist destination.
A delegation of Fixed Price Shop Ration dealers demanded free of cost gunny bags at par with other states, salary based working, release of genuine commission, rightful loading and unloading charges, release of pending loading -unloading charges for the period during 2014 floods as assured by the government.
The inhabitants of Panchayat Shamthi from Assar demanded construction of suspension bridge on Sehru Achal Nallah.
The delegation of Sarpanchs and Panchs from Block Bhawlal demanded upgradation of roads in Panchayats Amb lower and Bhalwal lower. The delegation also demanded installation of hand pumps.
A delegation of retired employees of Jammu Central Cooperative Bank urged for early release of retirement dues.
He assured the delegation that meeting of Board of Directors of JCCB would be convened soon to redress their grievances.
A group of inhabitants of village Mishriwala demanded resettlement of land records. A deputation of Thakrakote – Reasi demanded construction of road from Dalhote to Gandhali Dev Sthan, upgradation of road from PHC Bandhar to Malwari, development of Panchayat Bandhar as model village, opening of Bank Branch at Pannansa.
A deputation of Gram Welfare and Development Society, Dablehar – R S Pura demanded opening of two colleges one each for Boys and Girls at Dablehar town, shifting of Dablehar Niabat from Chakroi to R S Pura, construction/renovation of old Government Higher Secondary School building at Dablehar.
A deputation of shopkeepers displaced from General Bus Stand sought early allotment of shops at ISBT Transport Nagar.
J&K College Contractual Lecturers Association asked for framing regularization policy in their favour. Similarly, a delegation of project employees of Jammu University also raised its issues of regularization.
Inhabitants of Bhour Camp demanded playground in their area.
Responding to the issues projected by the deputations and individuals, the Advisor assured that all genuine grievances, demands raised at the public hearing would be looked into and necessary action taken by the concerned departments.
