LEH, Dec 11: Advisor to the Lieutenant Governor, UT of Ladakh, Dr Pawan Kotwal, today assessed the progress of developmental initiatives led by the Rural Development and Information Technology Department.
Chairing a meeting in this regard at Civil Secretariat in Leh, Dr Kotwal scrutinized the status of each project, conducting a comprehensive evaluation of milestones achieved and challenges faced.
The Advisor emphasized transparent financial management to ensure the judicious utilization of allocated funds for the benefit of Ladakh’s citizens.
Commending the collective efforts of the Rural Development Department, he lauded their implementation of welfare schemes directly impacting residents’ lives.
The meeting also delved into the strides made by the Information Technology Department in Ladakh.
Dr Pawan Kotwal recognized the pivotal role of technology in achieving efficient governance, enhanced public services, and overall regional development.
Highlighting the administration’s commitment to accountability and transparency, Dr Pawan Kotwal urged officials to adhere to timelines, ensuring that the benefits of developmental projects reach the grassroots level.
The meeting saw the presence of key officials, including the Secretary of the Rural Development & IT Department, UT Ladakh, Amit Sharma, and the Director of Rural Development Department, UT Ladakh, Syed Sajjad Qadri.
Virtual participation from concerned officers in Kargil added a collaborative dimension to the review, reinforcing the administration’s dedication to inclusive and impactful governance.
