Advisor to CM, Legislators call on Governor

SRINAGAR, Aug 19: Prof. Amitabh Mattoo, Advisor to the Chief Minister, met Governor N.N. Vohra at the Raj Bhavan here today.
Governor and Prof. Mattoo discussed several important issues relating to the advancement of the education sector, particularly focusing on problems relating to the functioning of universities and institutions of higher education.
Surinder Mohan Ambardar, Member Legislative Council, J&K also called on Governor and apprised him about his interactions with youth who wish to play a constructive role in the progress and development of the State; concerns of medical professionals including Unani and Veterinary doctors; and the problems faced by post graduate pass outs in Tourism Studies.
Appreciating Ambardar’s interest in promoting people’s welfare, Governor urged him to continue his vigorous endeavours.
Er. Rasheed, MLA Langate also called on Governor and apprised him about the varied developmental issues in the area of his Constituency and the need to implement a planned approach for exploiting the high tourism potential of Bangus and Lippa Valleys.
Governor appreciated Rasheed’s concerns and urged him to particularly focus on up gradation of education imparted in the schools at all levels  and, side by side, promote awareness of the need for protecting the interests of all youth and ensuring against their exploitation in any manner whatsoever.
