JAMMU, May 18: The Association of Education Consultants (AEC), in collaboration with “Kshitij Foundation” an NGO, organized their first JKEDUEXPO-2013 at City Palace, Kachi Chawni, here today.
The 2-day EDUEXPO, which began today will culminate on May 19, 2013.
More than 25 professional technical colleges from various States viz., Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Chandigarh, Haryana, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, etc are participating in the EDUEXPO, offering courses in various streams of Engineering, Medicine, Management and Pharmacy.
Dr Permendra Singh, founder Kshitij Foundation while speaking on the occasion said, “Kshitij Foundation is instrumental in developing the interface between the education seekers and education providers in the State so that the deserving students of the State are made to avail the best courses in the best colleges by neutralizing the extra expenditure of the parents.”
Kavinder Gupta, Ex-mayor and senior BJP leader, while sharing his personal experiences said, “This EXPO will surely mitigate the extra stress and wastage of money that adds extra burden on the pocket of the guardians.”
Senior Congress leader, Dr Rashid Choudhary said that the youth of State have immense potential to compete in various educational areas provided they are given equitable opportunities. It is a matter of honor for the State that so many colleges of repute and excellence are offering courses to the students of the State, he added.
Various students who were on the merit list of the recently declared Class 12th examination from Government schools were honored by the dignitaries and blessed for the glorious future.
Officials from State Bank of India and J&K Bank were present on the occasion to counsel the students and parents about the loan facilities for the various courses.
Representatives of “UDAAN” and “HIMAYAT” — two initiatives of the Central Government, were also present.
