JAMMU, Feb 14: Taking its 8-year-old tradition ahead, Aakash Educational Services Limited (AESL), the national leader in test preparatory services, continued its tradition of facilitating education of wards of Defence Personnel and announced the continuation of 100 per cent tuition fee waiver for children of martyrs for the next academic calendar starting March 2022.
Apart from this, 15 per cent scholarships for the wards of defence personnel and those affected by terrorism will also continue for the upcoming year.
A handout of AESL stated that since 2014, the scholarship programme has benefitted more than 70,000 students.
Captain (Retd) Anil Gour of Indian Army graced the ceremony as chief guest in the presence of Parmeshwar Jha, Regional Director, AESL and Rajesh Karna, J&K Branch Director.
Speaking on the occasion Captain Gour said “The brave men and women of armed forces should always be honoured for their sacrifice. They risk their lives to protect the nation. We are grateful for the financial support that AESL has been providing to wards of defence personnel.”
Commenting on the scholarship for Martyrs’ wards, Parmeshwar Jha, AESL Regional Director said, “We are proud to have contributed in making a difference to the lives of around 70,000 children of armed forces heroes and are excited to extend the full scholarship for martyrs’ children and scholarships for wards of defence personnel this year as well.”
