Afghan Prez praises Rashid Khan for perfomance in IPL matches

 NEW DELHI: Rashid Khan, one of the star performer of Sunrisers Hyderabad, who has recently impressed fans with his performance in the 11th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) match, got praises from none other than Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani.
Mr Ghani appreciated the Indian friends for allowing Afghan players to showcase their skills and took pride in Rashid’s performance as he called him an asset to the cricketing world.
He also said that Rashid reminds people about what is best about their nation. He also tweeted to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, ‘joking’ that they will not give the young spinner away.
“Afghans take absolute pride in our hero, Rashid Khan. I am also thankful to our Indian friends for giving our players a platform to show their skills.
Rashid reminds us whats best about Afg. He remains an asset to the cricketing world. No we are not giving him away”, he tweeted.
The Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Kolkata Knight Riders in the qualifier two of the IPL 2018 playoffs, to make their way into the grand finale on Sunday against Chennai Super Kings. Rashid was named man of the match, who impressed his fans with his all-round performance with the bat, ball and in the filed and claimed victory.’
Later Rashid expressed love for his nation after the match and dedicated Man of the match award to the victims of bomb blast in Jalalabad, Afghanistan.
“I want to dedicate this award to those who lost their lives in a blast during a cricket game in my hometown back home,” he tweeted.
