Aftab desirous of shooting movie in J&K; expresses grief over Sachin’s retirement

JAMMU, Oct 11: Mesmerised with the scenic beauty of J&K, Bollywood Actor Aftab Shivdasani expressed his desire of shooting a movie in the State.
Aftab expressed his heartiest desire while interacting with media persons, here this afternoon. He has even discussed this with the Director accompanying him during air journey to the winter capital.
Being interested in Cricket, Shivdasani expressed grief over the retirement of “Master Blaster” Sachin Tendulkar from the cricket world. “Sachin has given his best 23 years of life to the Cricket and made the nation proud across the globe”, he added.
“It’s a proud moment for me to be in the City of Temples for the first time and I got a chance to pay obeisance at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine, which I dreamed of years back”, he said.
“I have never judged a devotional competition and this is the first devotional competition, which I have to judge along with others including Vikas Mohan, Trade Analyst, Ganesh Jain, Owner of Venus Tapes and Bollywood Director, Ramesh Torani”, he said, adding that “I hope I will do justice”.
While sharing experience of his latest Bollywood movie “Grand Masti”, Aftab said that he was not comfortable with the role as it was beyond his limits, but he did. “I was expecting movie will punch a normal business, but people digested it fully and thronged to theatres and Cineplex to watch the movie”, he added.
Replying to query regarding delay in his marriage with Britain born girl Nin Dusanj, Aftab said, “I want to marry soon, but time is not allowing me and when the right time will come every one will come to know”. “I am here with my girlfriend and I will pray for early marriage”, he added.
Aftab with other personalities from the Bollywood world including Vikas Mohan, Trade Analyst, Ganesh Jain, Owner of Venus Tapes and Bollywood Director, Ramesh Torani have been called as judges for the finale of the 16th All India Devotional Song Competition to be held at Yog Ashram Complex, Katra tomorrow.
Rakesh Wazir, Chairman All India Devotional Song Competition, while speaking said that All India Devotional Singh Competition was started in year 1999 in Katra and many singers have taken wings of success from this competition including Himani Kapoor, Mool Raj, Paramjit Singh Pamma, Naveen Punjabi, Rajan Gill, Sonali Dogra, Reeta Khadyal, Ravi Kumar, Sanjeet Kumar, Anjusha etc.
He informed that the winner of the competition will be given rupees one lakh as cash prize and an album contract with Tips and Venus Recordings.
The competition is organized jointly by Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board and J&K Tourism in association with Zee News, Zee Jagran, Shradha Mh One, Disha Channel, Big 92.7 FM, Nidheesh Builders Private Limited, Jai Mata Di Sewa Sangh Prasadi, J&K Bank, District Administration, Civil Defence, Hotel and Restaurant Association Katra, under the overall supervision of Navratra Festival Committee headed by Divisional Commissioner, Jammu.
