JAMMU, Jan 28: The employees of National Health Mission (NHM) here today organized a one day district level convention which was presided over by Provincial president Jammu, Dr. Vikas Sharma and was attended by Divisional president RNTCP Association Jammu, Dr. Soni Singh Sambyal; DAM NHM Jammu, Rashmi Singh along with Medical Officers, Management and Paramedical Staff of different blocks of District Jammu.
More than 200 NHM employees actively took part in the convention during which the speakers raised issues related to the welfare of NHM employees and demanded meaningful solutions to their issues.
Meanwhile, a district level body of NHM employees for Jammu district was also framed on this occasion in which Rashmi Singh was elected as District president and Geetanjali Jasrotia as senior vice president.
Dr. Sushant Sharma was elected as vice president; Dr. Aishwarya Wazir, general secretary; Sunil Kathmaria, secretary; Sandeep Arora, treasurer; Surinder Singh, co-treasurer; Dr. Rohit Kumar, spokesperson and Baby Devi, coordinator.
In District Advisory Committee, Dr. Parminder Kour was elected as chairman; Dr. Nazish Suharwardy and Bhanu Partap Singh as member secretary of the Association.
Block Units heads were also announced wherein Riaz Malik was elected as Block president Bisnah; Ajay Seth, Block president Akhnoor; Dr. Rashmi, Block president R.S Pura; Parminder Kour, Block president Dhansal; Goutam Saini, Block president Marh; Dr. Danish, Block president Chowki Chora; Ajay Kumar, Block president Kot Bhalwal; Rakesh Kumar, Block president Pallanwala; Sudanshu Mani, Block president Jammu Urban and for Sohanjana Block, the Block president will be nominated later on.
