JAMMU, Feb 25: Advocate General D. C. Raina after assuming charge today paid his first visit to Srinagar.
Advocate General attended the court and caused his appearance before the Division Bench of the High Court in an important Public Interest Litigation (PIL) pertaining to Dal Lake.
D. C. Raina had a detailed meeting with the concerned officers regarding the compliance of the court directions passed from time to time and the stand taken by the various departments was discussed.
Advocate General addressed the newly appointed Law Officers and impressed upon them to work with dedication in order to expedite the quick disposal of the cases pending before Srinagar wing of the High Court against State. He also advised them to take steps to ensure that the interests of the State are safeguarded, besides departments were also temporarily allocated to the Law Officers so that State Litigation will not suffer.
