AGBM of Home for Aged and Infirm held

JAMMU, Dec 24: The 58th Annual General Body Meeting (AGBM) of Home for the Aged and Infirm, Ambphalla was held here today under the chairmanship of its vice president, H.S Manhas.
Annual report and audited accounts for the year 2022-23 and budget proposal for the year 2023-24 was presented by the secretary, Vijay Bhagotra and the same was adopted by the House during the meeting.
A Day Care Senior Citizens Centre/Club with name Swabhiman Parisar with all free facilities including medical care was setup in the Home in the year 2020 and all the desirous elders were once again appealed to get themselves registered with it to avail comfortable, peaceful, reposeful and restful experience during their leisure time at the Club daily wherein light refreshment shall also be provided to the elders during their stay at the Club free of cost.
Speaking on the occasion Manhas appealed to the general public for liberal donation in cash or kind on regular basis for day to day needs of the inmates and for further improvement in the facilities at the Home.
He asked the public to visit the Home to interact with the inmates so that they do not feel neglected by the society.
Vijay Bhagotra, secretary conducted the proceedings and urged the members to pay visit to the Home from time to time and favour the management with suggestions for further improvement in the living conditions of inmates as well as for the better functioning of the Home.
Vijay Gupta, joint secretary; members of the managing committee-Nirmala Zutshi, R.C Vaid, Pankaj Gupta and others were also present in the meeting.
