NOWSHERA, Mar 8: Newly elected Member of the Legislative Council (MLC), Surinder Choudhary was accorded historic reception on his arrival in his native town of Nowshera.
A huge rally was organized at Nowshera, which was attended by thousands and thousands of people.
Braving heavy downpours and severe cold, people from far-flung and remotest areas of Nowshera attended the rally.
Addressing a huge rally at Nowshera, Mr Surinder Choudhary said that formation of PDP-BJP Coalition Government under the leadership of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed is historic opportunity to change destiny of the people of Jammu and Kashmir because “Agenda For Alliance”, formulated by the coalition partners, is a visionary document. “It is high time for all political parties of the State to shun their petty political interests for over-all development and growth of the State”, Mr Choudhary said and mentioned that PDP-BJP Coalition Government is committed to minimize miseries of the people.
Regretting that previous regime had brazenly looted the State through mis-deeds in the six years, Mr Choudhary said that legalizing corruption was the only noticeable achievements of the previous Government headed by Omar Abdullah. “All of us have to work assiduously to rectify mistakes committed by the previous Government”, he said and lamented that except promises nothing has been done during the last six years to minimize woes of the common masses.
Expressing his gratitude towards PDP leadership, especially party patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and party president Mehbooba Mufti for nominating him as MLC, Mr Choudhary assured the party leadership that he will work round the clock to serve the people with dedication and commitment. “It was result of love and affection of the people of Nowshera that he has achieved such position”, he said.
Speaking on the occasion, Panchs and Sarpanchs of Nowshera and Sunderbani hailed PDP leadership for nominating mass base leader Surinder Choudhary as MLC.
