Aggarwal Sabha celebrates birth Anniversary of Maharaja Agrasen

JAMMU, Oct 15: Aggarwal Sabha, Jammu and Kashmir celebrated 5148th birth anniversary of Maharaja Agrasen with great enthusiasm, fervour and gaiety at Zorawar Auditorium here today.
The function started with Havan at Aggarwal Sabha, Vivekanand Chowk, Jammu in the morning. It was followed by Purna Aahuti, which was attended by a large number of Sabha members and their families.
The main function at Zorawar Auditorium commenced with a welcome address by Swatantra Aggarwal, president of Aggarwal Sabha, Jammu and Kashmir. Member Parliament from Jammu-Poonch, Jugal Kishore Sharma (BJP) presided over the programme. Deputy Mayor of Jammu, Baldev Singh Billowaria, former Mayor, CM Gupta and Mahant Rameshwar Dass Ji, were the special invitees on the occasion.
The Member Parliament, lauded the efforts of Aggarwal Sabha for organizing such a wonderful and impressive programme on the birth anniversary of Maharaja, Agrasen. He said the members of the Sabha are playing a vital role in the upliftment of own Biradari and society as a whole.
A colourful cultural programme was presented by young children and fancy dress show by the tiny tots. A programme was on the life and history of Maharaja Agrasen was also presented on the occasion.
The awards and mementos were presented to the meritorious students of the Aggrawal community and gifts to the children, who performed during the function.
Earlier, the annual report was filed and read by the general secretary of the Sabha, Ravinder Mittal, while secretary- Narinder Aggarwal, Shambhu Aggarwal- treasurer and other executive members of the Sabha were also present on the occasion.
The programme was compared by CA Hardeep Aggarwal, senior vice president of Aggarwal Sabha, along with Shally Aggarwal. Deepak Aggarwal, vice president presented the vote of thanks.
