JAMMU, Aug 22: Masters from Kathua and other districts, posted in Chenab Valley for the last more than two years, have decided to observe Teacher’s Day on September 5 as Black Day.
On the day, these teachers will stage a dharna near Press Club Jammu seeking repatriation to their home districts as they have completed the two-year tenure of stay in Chenab Valley.
Decision in this regard was taken during a meeting, held under the chairmanship of trade union leader Kapil Bakshi.
As Government has turned deaf ears to repeated requests and pleas of the aggrieved Masters, the latter have no option other than to lodge their protest on Teacher’s Day, the meet observed.
