JAMMU, July 15: Polytechnic Academic Arrangements staff has announced to suspend their 38-day long strike for one month on the assurance of Minister for Technical Education to observe them all on the regularization basis.
Addressing the media persons, here today, Atul Sudan, president of AJKPAA, Jammu said that on the instruction of Minister for Technical Education, Imran Raza Ansari, the department is learnt to have initiated the process for the regularization of Polytechnic Academic Arrangements. According to an order by the Director Technical Education under order number DTE/101/Misc/889-895 dated 22-06-2017, the department has already agreed to re-engage the disengaged staff of polytechnics and also directed the heads of institutions not to do the same in future, he added.
“Further, the Director Technical Education has finally submitted the data for regularization on 12th July 2017 under order number DTE/101/253-V/1020 dated 12-07-2017,” Mr Sudan said and added that keeping in view of these positive developments from the department in their favor and a full assurance by the Minister for Technical Education, the Association has unanimously decided to suspend their strikes for one month in both divisions.
He said that during the given time of one month, the Association will follow their process and will meet the various officials, concerned authorities and the Cabinet Ministers of the State for their regularization process. “We are optimistic that Government will come up with a suitable regularization policy for us but if the department delays the process and nothing comes in this one month, we will resume the strike and suspend class work in both division,” he warned.
