Call for Jammu Bandh on 29th Aug

JAMMU, Aug 27: The ongoing agitation of the J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu and the Bandh Call for 29th August, 2022 was extended full support today by the Jammu Chamber of Commerce & Industries (JCCI).
The Bandh call of the Bar Association has already been supported by all the political parties, trade, transport, social, organizations besides by all the Bar Associations of the lawyers of Jammu Province.
To take stock of the growing support and to enhance its campaign for the 29th August Jammu Bandh Call, the J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu held an emergent meeting where many senior & young lawyers expressed their views.
They expressed their anguish over the continued silence of the LG Govt over the genuine demands projected by the Bar Association for construction of multi- storey building in the court premises of Janipur, Jammu for housing registration authorities, CAT, DRT, AFT, Consumer Courts, Tribunals, Commissions and similar facilities in the premises of the court complexes in all other districts of the Jammu province, for the convenience of the general public, and the lawyers.
The prominent lawyers who spoke on the occasion include M.K. Bhardwaj Sr. Adv., Aslam Goni Sr. Adv & former Advocate General, D.S. Saini former President, Surinder Kour Sr. Adv., Gagan Basotra Sr. Adv, H.C. Jalmeria, Mohinder Pal Singh Palli Vice President, Surjeet Singh Andotra General Secretary, Aditya Sharma Joint Secretary, Rohit Sharma YLA President, Choudhary Zaffar, Monish Chopra, Bhavishya Sudan.
It was resolved in the meeting to continue the agitation till all the demands projected by the Bar Association are accepted by the Government. It was further resolved to make all possible efforts for making the 29th August, Jammu Bandh call a grand success.
The members present in the meeting of the Bar Association welcomed the massive support from all political, social, trade, transport organizations and other Bar Associations of the entire Jammu Province in expressing solidarity with the agitation launched by the J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu in the public interest for creating infrastructure within the courts premises for housing the courts and quasi Judicial institutions including Registering Authorities.
