NEW DELHI, Oct 26: Ajay Kumar Singhal, AGM, Northern Railway conducted a surprise visit to carry out an inspection of the New Delhi Railway Station today. He looked at the arrangements being made to tackle the summer rush on the station premises.
Station Director New Delhi and other officers from Headquarter Northern Railway and Delhi Division were also present with him at the time of inspection. The Station Director New Delhi briefed him about the present passenger amenities and the future plan to enhance the passenger facilities in view of the anticipated footfall during forthcoming festivals of Deepawali and Chhath Puja.
He inspected the IRCTC executive lounge, booking office, cloakroom, locker room, food courts, book stalls, chemist corner, Women’s waiting room, upper-class waiting lounge, multi-cuisine restaurant, braille and other facilities for divangjan and security arrangements at the station premises.
