JAMMU, July 20: The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE), Jammu Centre for the financial year 2011-12 was held here today.
The meeting received and adopted the annual report of the IETE activities for 2011-12.The AGM also considered and adopted the audited balance sheet for the year ending March 31st 2012.
Honourable Secretary, Dr Pawanesh Abrol highlighted the report of the activities of IETE, Jammu Centre. He also informed the launch of IETE Jammu Centre’s website www.ietejammu.org for the students.
He added that a number of technical activities in the institution were held in collaboration with MIET and other institutions of the State. These activities included robotic workshop, technical paper representations, web page designing competitions etc.
It was further informed that an IETE student Chapter has started functioning at MIET, Kot Bhalwal, Jammu. The Chapter has a strength of 114 student members.
Meanwhile, the election results of IETE executive committee for the year 2012-14 were also declared. Joy Ganjoo was re-elected as chairman, Dr Pawanesh Abrol as secretary, Vijay Sharma as treasurer and SK Sharma as FIETE.
