Agnishekhar raises fingers on Justice Sageer WG report

Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, July 21: Panun Kashmir Convener, Dr.Agnishekhar has expressed surprise and concern over the unheard of political manoeuvring of the most controversial and objectionable Sagheer Working Group recommendations on Centre-State relationship by the state Government. It is irony that without having reached any unanimity over the sensitive matters like granting of Autonomy to the state, Self-rule and the refugees problems even within the divergent collation partners, the Cabinet Sub Committee is planning to come out with an interim report to expedite the process of finalization of the report.
Dr.Agnishekhar voiced his concern over the prejudiced conduct of the Working Group on Center state relationship headed by the Justice Sageer Ahmed as was highlighted in the consequent seminars, debates and reported in media by the majority of participants of the WG from Jammu region cutting across the party lines.
Expressing anguish and dismay over the exclusion of Panun Kashmir demand of establishment of separate Homeland for over 7 lac Kashmiri Pandits in the Valley with Union Territory status and free flow of Indian Constitution, Dr.Agnishekhar said Justice Sagheer Ahmed’s obvious soft corner for granting autonomy, which is aimed at dilution of sovereignty of India in the state, makes the whole report objectionable for the nationalist forces of the country.
Dr. Agnishekhar recalled how his presentation on the CBM’S for the displaced KP’s in the WG headed by the UPA’s present candidate for vice Presidentship of India Hamid Ansari  were brazenly ignored, whereas lucrative CBM’s were recommended for the return of Kashmiri trained terrorists from across the LoC. Panun Kashmir then had no options left but to publicly  distance itself from the said WG recommendations.
Dr.Agnishekhar lamented over the mishandling of Kashmir issue by the successive Central Governments by either circumventing the core issue or procrastination of assertion as sovereign State thus encouraging the secessionist forces backed by Pakistan through time consuming track –II diplomacy, quiet diplomacy appointment of Interlocutors etc.
He appealed the conscience of the nation to wake up to the fast changing political developments in the State, which have long bearing on the sovereignty, unity and integrity of India.
