JAMMU, Sept 22: Panun Kashmir (PK), convener Dr Agnishekhar today asked the entire displaced Kashmiri Pandit community to remain vigilant against the machinations of some leaders of the community who seem to have been selectively roped in by the Government to implement the symbolic return and rehabilitation of 300 to 400 Kashmiri Pandit families in different clusters in the Kashmir valley.
Addressing a joint meeting of the activists of PK and Youth 4 PK here today, Dr Agnishekhar said the recent political developments concerning the fate and future of exiled KPs said it will have far reaching consequences. It seems that Union Home Ministry has chosen these organizations in hoodwinking the national and international opinion regarding the rehabilitation of the displaced KPS, he added.
The PK convener expressed surprise over the double speak of some of these leaders who reportedly have said nothing about the homeland demand of the KPs in the meeting and later presented different version of their presentation in the media for public consumption.
Dr Agnishekhar also condemned the divisive politics being orchestrated by the State Government over the passage of Temples and Shrines Bill. It is evident that Government finally has managed to create confusion over the purview of the draft Bill.
Referring to performance of Mahashradha by a five member team of PK at Gangbal recently on the Balidan Diwas in the sacred memory of hundreds of Kashmiri Hindu martyrs and all security personnel who laid down their lives while fighting Jehadi terrorism in the Valley besides thousands of those displaced KPs who died while living akin to genocide life in the camps outside the Valley, Dr Agnishekhar complimented the exemplary role of Vinod Pandita APMCC president who not only extended full support and cooperation along with his team but facilitated the performance of the sacred event at holy Harmukut Ganga.
He said PK also celebrated Vyth Truvah function on return at Ganpatyar Srinagar.
