KATHUA, Oct 12: One day Election-cum-Interaction session of All Jammu and Kashmir Agriculture Officers Welfare Forum Kathua was held to elect new District Executive Council (DEC).
The general body of the district elected Raju Mahajan as district present, Deepak Singh as general secretary, Devinder Sharma as convenor, Raj Singh as publicity secretary and Om Dutt Sharma as treasurer.
The members discussed and debated in length all burning issues which are required to be taken up for the betterment and welfare of the department which include settlement of seniority to the last cadre, holding of DPC, restructuring of department, modification/updating of service rules, running grades and Assured Career Progression(ACP) so as to end 3 decade old stagnation in the department.
Earlier, addressing the meeting Rajesh Gandotra, general secretary of the Forum urged the cadres to voluntarily relinquish additional charge(s) and hold one charge at a time, where they can do justice to the post held.
In the end vote of thanks was presented by Jagdish Chander Raina, publicity secretary, AJKAOWF with a promise and resolve to fight for the legitimate demands of forum tooth and nail and taking to its logical end conclusively.
