JAMMU, Oct 5: Jammu Kashmir Agricultural Technocrats Association (JKATA) held a protest demonstration against the Government for not taking serious steps for the regularization of Technocrats on batch-wise manner.
The technocrats raised slogans against the Government and were demanding their regularization on batch wise manner.
Addressing the gathering, Dr Surinder Radotra, president, JKATA, said that the regularization of yearly batch-wise has been demanded to ensure that the over-aged technocrats do not suffer.
He said that Chief Minister Omar Abdullah had appointed Mubarak Gul as his pointsman in the matter and had promised to make necessary amendments in the various Government and Cabinet orders to meet their just and reasonable demands, but till date nothing has been done.
Radotra said that future of Rehbar-e-Ziraats, who are serving in department from last five and a half years and are performing all Panchayat activities including extension work in the field, door to door campaign of Kissan Credit Card is in dark as Government is paying no heed and treating technocrats as bonded labours.
Dr Vishal Singh Manhas, Chairman, said that JKATA will launch a massive protest on October 8, at all districts if their genuine demands were not considered.
Among others who spoke were Maneet Singh, vice president, Jai and Rajiv Chib, general secretary, Vinod Sharma, Joginder Singh, Eisiraat Rathore, Sanjay Puri.
