Agriculture Technocrats highlight grievances, seek redressal

JAMMU, June 28: Monthly meeting of Jammu Kashmir Agriculture Technocrats Association (JKATA) was held, here today for highlighting grievances of Agriculture Technocrats and seeking redressal of the same.
The meeting was presided over by President JKATA, Dr Surinder Radotra and attended by all the district presidents.
The meet demanded DPC of left out AEAs for promotion as JAEOs and publication of final seniority list of Agriculture Extension Assistant AEA.
Dr Surinder Radotra appealed the Govt to adjust the officers in Class VII cadre i.e. AEO and equivalent in CAD Horticulture, Floriculture, Sericulture, Animal Husbandry. This will help Agriculture Production Deptt in boosting Holistic Agriculture Development Program HADP, he added.
Dr Radotra lamented that since 2017, only Field Assistants have been promoted as Junior Agriculture Extension Officers even as these non professionals hold 25 percent promotion quota only as per SRO 442.
“We hope that the concerned authorities would take concrete measures regarding DPC as well as a particular transfer policy for the betterment of Agriculture professional,” he added and urged Lieutenant Government Manoj Sinha, Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo and Principal Secretary Agriculture Productions Department, Shailendra Kumar to personally intervene and redress the grievances of highly qualified professional degree holders.
