JAMMU, Mar 25: Agrima Malhotra’s painting exhibition titled “Pankhuri III” was inaugurated at Matrika Auditorium of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), Katra.
The exhibition was inaugurated by Prof Sudhir K Jain, Vice Chancellor, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU).
The exhibition comprising of 15 paintings in different medium ranging from pencil colours and poster colours was on the theme “Feminist Transitions”.
This is another feather in the cap of Agrima Malhotra, seventh class student of Presentation Convent Senior Secondary School, Jammu.
Through the paintings the child artist reflects on the present day scenario and is based on broadening of feminist issues and practices.
The focus of exhibition is on a wide range of social, cultural, theoretical and global transitions that have affected or modified feminisms identity, representations, activism and politics.
Various prominent personalities and artists from Jammu city were present during the inaugural function of the exhibition.
