NEW DELHI : The Supreme Court today decided to hear next week a plea seeking registration of an FIR against those persons who were bribed in the AgustaWestland-VVIP chopper deal case. The plea was filed in the apex court this morning. There were allegations against Congress leaders in a recent judgement by an Italian court convicting top officials of AgustaWestland and its parent Italian firm Finmeccanica. A Milan court in Italy had sent Finmeccanica’s former CEO Giuseppe Orsi and AgustaWestland ex-head Bruno Spagnolini to jail for false accounting and corruption in the sale of 12 VVIP choppers to India.
