JAMMU, Aug 19: All India Backward Classes Union (AIBCU) today accused the State Government of totally ignoring the people belonging to other backward classes in the State.
In a statement issued here, today general secretary of Union, Prof Kali Dass said not to talk of the enhancement of reservation quota, the Government has failed to enhance the creamy layer from 4.5 lakh to six lakh which has already been enhanced by the Union Government three years back.
He said the renewal of OBC in the State is called OSC and for issuance of these certificates on the basis of income the creamy layer is meant for. He said a memorandum was in this regard submitted to concerned Ministry by the Union on February 10 this year and till date no action has been taken in this regard.
This shows that present Government has no sympathy with the Backward classes in the State. He said the Government has betrayed the people of backward classes. He also took a dig at previous NC –Congress coalition which also ignored the poor sections of the society. Same attitude is being shown by the present coalition and warned the PDP-BJP coalition that if it will follow the polices of previous alliance in the State, it will too meet the same fate.
