AIBCU alleges conspiracy against deprived castes

JAMMU, June 27: All India Backwards Classes Union, J&K Unit has alleged that a conspiracy has been hatched by some people in the Administration against deprived castes (OBCs) in respect of posts recently advertised in Jammu University.
A spokesman of the AIBCU said that Jammu University published an advertisement vide its notification No: adm/TW R&C/ 22/287-300 dated 22.08.2022 for filling up posts of teaching faculties in various subjects. Desirous applicants applied for the said faculty posts and were waiting for their selections.
But unfortunately the JU authorities withdrew that notification and replaced it by another one, thereby withdrawing posts meant for OBC candidates who were aspirants and preparing for their selections. The notification dated 22.08.2022 had distribution of posts @27% for OBCs as per Central rules meant for a UT but later some conspiracy was hatched by the Chancellor , Vice Chancellor or the University Administration, who constituted a committee for the purpose. This committee convened two subsequent meetings for the said purpose on May 30 and June 6, 2023.
Consequent upon the outcome of these meetings, the previous advertisement dated 22.08.2022 was withdrawn. It has the references of 87th University Council resolution No: 87.27 passed on 21.01 .2023 and a circular No. 04 dated 24.02.2023 by Higher Education Deptt and a new notification vide it’s No: Adm/TW/C&R/ 23/311, dated 09.06.2023 was issued and OBC category has been almost debarred from the benefits. He expressed strong resentment over this development and described it anti-OBC mindset of the people in the Administration.
In present scenario neither old laws of the state, nor the extended Indian Constitution seem relevant to socially and politically downgraded people in J&K UT, he alleged.
