JAMMU, June 5: All India Backward Classes Union in a meeting which was held here under the chairmanship of its president Abdul Majid Malik discussed activation of many boards in the State.
The meeting while referring to the appointment of vice chairpersons of the boards including State OBC Advisory and Development Board wanted to know whether the coalition has the grant of due share as per the Apex Court judgment and Mandal Commission recommendations for the OBCs of the State on its agenda.
All the speakers and participants termed the OBC Advisory Board as a useless machine if the Government does not grant due share of the State OBCs. This Board shall only be an institute to adjust their own persons for monetary benefits and nothing else and only encourages subordination system in the political parties.
State OBCs do not want such a Board which does not solve the OBCs problem. It was also mentioned in the meeting that NC- Congress only convened two meaningless meetings in five years tenure of Board and spent crores of rupees for salaries of its employees and official expenditures without even an iota benefit to the State OBCs.
