AIBCU condemns Govt order limiting retirement age to 48 yrs

JAMMU, Nov 4: All India Backward Classes Union (AIBCU) executive members in a meeting under the chairmanship of its president, Abdul Majid Malik condemned the Government for its order pertaining to limiting the retirement age of a Government employee to 48 years or 22 years of service.
AIBCU demanded revocation of the order for the welfare of employees and claimed that the Government cannot frame two rules for retirement of its employees.
Speakers in the meeting also claimed that the new proposed rule might be used only to settle scores.
They claimed that in the recent past some category officers who were promoted to higher ranks were demoted for no reasons only because they were from some categories.
AIBCU members asked the Government to implement apex court’s judgment of 1992 on Mandal report in view of the abrogation of Article 370.
Those who attended the meeting were Jia Lal Verma, S.C Verma, Jagdish Lal Verma, Gurmeet Singh, Dr Javed Ahmed Teli, Sohan Lal, Rafiq Ahanger and others.
