JAMMU, Jan 2: J&K unit of All India Backward Classes Union (AIBCU) today discussed the matter related to OBC survey in a meeting held here today.
The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Latif Qureshi. The members thoroughly discussed the survey issue for which Backward Classes Dedicated Commission has been set up. But till date nothing concrete has come up.
Mohd Aijaz Administrative Secretary, Department of Rural Development & PR and Mandeep Kour, Commissioner/ Secretary Housing and Urban Department in a combined request to all the Deputy Commissioners through a letter dated Dec 28, 2024 asked to furnish the OBC data Halqa Panchayat, Municipal Committee/ Council and Municipal Corporation-wise, to furnish the requisite information to the dedicated Commission.
All participants and speakers appealed to all the DCs to furnish all the data at the earliest.
Other members including Abrol Majid Hajam Mohd Iqbal Ahanger, Fayaz Nahar, Rashid ud Din, Arshad Najar, AR Shergujri, MR Bangotra, Lakhvir Singh, Gurmeet Singh, Jagdish Verma were also present.
