POONCH, June 6: A meeting of All India Backward Classes Union (AIBCU) was held under the chairmanship of H D Betab in which State president Abdul Majid Malik along with his central committee team was the chief guest.
The participants expressed anguish over non-functioning of OBS Advisory and Development Board which is lying defunct after the formation of new PDP-BJP Government.
State president Abdul Majid Malik appealed the OBCs to unite for their constitutional rights. He also appealed them to realize the value of their vote, which they had been using against themselves.
AIBCU general secretary Prof Kali Dass stated that there was no ideological difference between different political parties as all are hell bent to eradicate the constitutional provisions for the upliftment of the down-trodden in the country, Jammu and Kashmir in particular.
The union through a resolution requested the Commissio-ner/Secretary Social Welfare, Mrs Sarita Chouhan to forward concerned file for Cabinet approval.
