JAMMU, June 29: All India Backward Classes Union (AIBCU) Social today held its executive meeting under the chairmanship of Mohd Lateef Qureshi to the matters of concerning OBCs of Jammu and Kashmir.
The main agenda of the meeting was caste based census and to implement the Mandal report in toto. Speakers and participants condemned the attitude of all regional and national level political parties which never pleaded for OBCs even after the abrogation of Art 370 and 35-A. They said neither Congress nor National Conference has given even a single statement demanding implementation of Mandal report in J&K.
The speakers said now the time has come for these political parties to raise issues of OBCs in the Parliament. This is the testing time for all political parties whether they stand for what they promise. They appealed all political parties to raise the issues of OBCs in the Parliament including Congress leader Rahul Gandhi who is also the Leader of Opposition in the Lower House to raise the issues promised in the manifesto.
