JAMMU, Apr 23:  Alleging misuse of Article 370 by the coalition partners  of the State and treacherous attitude and dismal performance regarding the due share of State OBCs, All India Backward Classes Union has decided to go against State rulers, particularly the National Conference and the Congress in the forthcoming Parliamentary and Assembly elections.
This was disclosed by president of the Union, Abdul Majid Malik, addressing a press conference at Press Club here today.
He said, now OBCs cannot wait more and trust upon these rulers, who are not concerned about granting the due share of 27% to the OBCs in employment and politics even by adopting Para 95 of the Apex Court’s Judgement of 1992 on Mandal report.
State Commission for Backward Classes is also neglecting State  OBCs as the main focus of the Commission is on RBA, he alleged, adding the reason is the Chairman and most of the members of the Commission are from the upper castes.
He further said that OBC Advisory and Development Board under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah is only attracting dust as no meeting for the past one year has been convened.
Both coalition partners are doing injustice with the State OBCs by making use of Article 370 like a gun of militants and are proving more dangerous than militants with an aim to destroy the generations of the State OBCs, Malik said.
The matter would be taken up with the Central Government to expose the nexus of State Congress with NC for depriving the common people of the State of their constitutional and political rights, he added.
He appealed the State OBCs to keep their valuable votes intact to use them as a referendum in the forthcoming Assembly elections in 2014.
