AICRP of SKUAST adjudged as best centre

JAMMU, Apr 12: All India Coordinated Research Centre (AICRP) of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (SKUAST) has been adjudged as best AICRP Centre after considering the contribution for the development of rice varietal and associated technologies and for taking forward the rice productivity and production in the hill ecology.
The award is result of Centre’s untiring efforts of scientists, technical staff, farm men and women who have contributed their mettle in bringing laurels to this Centre of the university in developing mega varieties like Jhelum and Chenab and associated production and protection technologies.
This award was given today on Golden Jubilee of Annual Rice Research Group Meeting held at Indian Institute of Rice Research, Hyderabad.
On behalf of the Centre, Dr Tej Partap, Vice-Chancellor received the award who was flanked by Dr GA Parray, Associate Director Research and other scientists associated with the rice research.
