AIDSA discusses critical issues with president SDC

JAMMU, Aug 17: The All India Dental Students’ Association (AIDSA) convened a meeting today with Dr. Bupinder Singh, president of the SDC, to address pressing concerns affecting the dental community. The meeting highlighted several critical issues, including allegations of harassment by Anmol Healthcare, unethical practices by dental technicians, and various job-related challenges faced by professionals in the field.
Dr. Vasu Khanmotra (president, J&K UT), Dr. Robin Tikoo (general secretary, J&K UT), Dr. Riya Mahajan (speaker, J&K UT) and Dr. Aquib Javed (Committee Member) participated in the discussion, presenting a united front on behalf of dental students and practitioners across the region.
The delegation expressed serious concerns over reported instances of harassment linked to Anmol Healthcare, urging immediate action and stricter oversight to ensure the safety and well-being of all involved. Additionally, they raised issues surrounding unethical practices by some dental technicians, emphasizing the need for enhanced regulatory measures and ethical standards within the industry.
Job-related issues, including inadequate working conditions and limited career advancement opportunities, were also discussed. AIDSA stressed the importance of addressing these challenges to improve the overall working environment for dental professionals.
Dr. Bupinder Singh acknowledged the concerns raised and committed to working collaboratively with AIDSA to address these issues. Both parties agreed on the necessity of ongoing dialogue and actionable solutions to foster a supportive and ethical environment for dental professionals and students.
