JAMMU, Aug 21: All India Dental Student and Surgeons Association (AIDSSA), J&K has written a letter to PM Modi and have raised certain demands.
These demands included creation of new dental positions in public health institutions across J&K to utilize the skills of qualified dental surgeons effectively.
Another demand was strengthening of Primary Healthcare Centers to include comprehensive dental care services, providing employment opportunities for dental professionals and incentives for private sector engagements to employ dental surgeons and enhance their services in the region.
The letter stated that since the year 2008, a significant number of qualified dental surgeons in J&K have faced prolonged unemployment despite their expertise and readiness to serve the community and this situation has not only impacted their professional growth but has also deprived the people of J&K of essential dental care services.
