JAMMUI, Aug 3: Consequent to the initiative of J&K Offset Printers’ Association (JKOPA), All India Federation of Master Printers (AIFMP) was gracious enough to accord sanction to the grant of relief to the tune of Rs 1.00 Lac each to Jammu based two namely M/s Ambey Printing Press and National Printers, and Rs. 2.00 Lac to M/s The Dawn Industry, who had suffered huge losses in the flash flood caused in September, 2014.
The AIFMP deputed its three office bearers- Vijay Mohan, Vice President AIFMP (North); Arvind Mardikar, Hony Joint Secretary and Ashwani Gupta, Treasurer, AIFMP to distribute the relevant cheques. Accordingly a simple function was organized, here by JKOPA.
At the outset Pankaj Sethi, president, welcomed the distinguished guests who had come to Jammu to disburse the relief. He was highly obliged to the AIFMP for the goodwill gesture made to the flood affected printers. He was hopeful that in future too AIFMP would rise to the occasion and provide financial help to any printer falling victim to any natural calamity anywhere in India.
Arvind Mardikar while speaking on the occasion, regretted that the payment of relief had been inordinately delayed due to un-avoidable circumstances. He, however, told that paltry amount of assistance be considered as a token of love and not compensation in any way in the face of the huge losses suffered by the printers.
Vijay Mohan also spoke on the occasion and applauded the efforts of Arun Gupta and Pankaj Sethi in getting through the relief proposal by AIFMP. Ravi Gupta, former president also expressed his views and welcomed the esteemed guests.
Rakesh Mehta too greeted the guests and highly appreciated the federation for coming forward to financially help the flood victims.
In the end, Arun Gupta presented a vote of thanks. Sanjay Soni acted as a stage secretary and compeered the function.
