JAMMU, Oct 22: The Central Body of All India Federation of Diploma Engineers (AIFODE) visited Jammu & Kashmir to interact with the Diploma Engineers of the State.
A meeting was convened by the All J&K Diploma Engineers Association, Jammu at Company Bagh under the presidentship of Er Upinder Singh in which a large number of Diploma Engineers of all the engineering wings participated.
While addressing, Er. Upinder Singh apprised the members about the issues confronting the Diploma Engineers of the State, which include entry level grade, removal of stagnation of the Diploma Engineers at the level of junior engineer, maintenance of cadre strength especially at the level of AEE & XEN, and fixed Traveling Allowance which is only Rs 30/= per month. He informed about the steps initiated and the assurance accorded to the DEA in the recent meeting held at Srinagar Secretariat by the Deputy Chief Minister in presence of Chief Secretary and administrative heads of all the engineering wings to resolve the demands of Diploma Engineers.
He also told that a handful of self style leaders are trying to harp on the success and achievement of DEA resulted due to the hard work put in by the Association of Kashmir & Jammu units and appealed to the cadre not to get carried away by the false and malicious propaganda of the opportunist anti cadre activists.
Er M Rajbongoshi secretary. general of AIFODE assured the cadre that AIFODE is always at their beck and call and also extends its full support to present body of DEA of Jammu & Kashmir , being the only constitutional authority to lead the cadre in J&K State.
He also apprised the members about the steps initiated at all India level for adoption of uniform pattern at the entry level in promotions prospectus of Diploma Engineers. Prominent among those present includes Er Anil Gupta, Chairman, Er J S Rathore Convener, Er Narinder Singh vice president, Er Naresh Sawhney finance secretary, Er Arunesh Sharma publicity secretary, executive members & other office bearers of district units.
