SAMBA, Aug 24: The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Vijaypur, Jammu, has announced the launch of its Immunization Clinic.
The clinic was inaugurated by Prof (Dr) YK Gupta (president of AIIMS Jammu) in the presence of Executive Director & CEO Prof (Dr) Shakti Kumar Gupta, Dean Academics Dr Meeta Gupta, Deputy Director (Administration) Lt Col Prabhat Sharma, and district health officials from Samba, including Deputy Chief Medical Officer Dr Sanjeev Kumar Gupta, District Immunization Officer Dr Kamlesh Kumari, and District Vaccine Cold Chain Manager Dr Vasu Vaid, along with faculty members from the Departments of Community Medicine and Paediatrics.
This state-of-the-art facility, operated by the Departments of Community Medicine and Paediatrics in collaboration with the District Health Authorities of Samba, aims to enhance community healthcare by providing comprehensive routine immunization services free of charge under the Universal Immunization Programme (UIP).
A key feature of the clinic is its integrated approach to healthcare, which covers antenatal women, children, and adolescents under the UIP. In addition to vaccinations, the clinic will conduct thorough assessments of children’s growth through anthropometric measurements and evaluations of developmental milestones.
The clinic is staffed by highly qualified healthcare professionals, including paediatricians and community health specialists, dedicated to delivering exceptional care and support.
The Immunization Clinic is part of AIIMS Jammu’s ongoing commitment to improving health outcomes and providing accessible, high-quality healthcare services to the community.
Services can be accessed at Room Number 16, Ground Floor, AYUSH Block, AIIMS Jammu, and will be operational every Wednesday from 8 AM to 1 PM. Appointments can be made either by walking in or online using the ‘AIIMS Jammu Swasthya’ App.
