SANGALDAN, Sept 27: Minister of State for Revenue and Relief, Aijaz Ahmed Khan today said that Government has launched various developmental and social welfare schemes for upliftment of women, children, old-aged and weaker sections of the society.
He was addressing a public grievances camp at Sangaldan of district Ramban.
ACR Dhananter Singh, ACD Arvind Kirwani, CEO Vinod Soni, CAO VK Bhushan, DIO Dr Ashwani Hansa, Tehsildar (s) Arshad Ganai, district and sectoral officers, Sarpanchs, Panchs and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
Aijaz directed the XEn PDD to provide required poles and transformers for restoration of power in the area which has been affected due to heavy rains and floods. He also instructed the officers of Revenue and Agriculture Departments to jointly assess the loss of crops in the area.
The Minister directed the Collector Railway to ensure employment of local people in different construction companies as per standing government order. He directed Tehsildar Gool to issue SC/ST certificates to the people by organizing regular camps in far flung areas. He also asked ACD to ensure that all the 14 departments should meet every month at block level.
Earlier, the people apprised the Minister of their demands which include opening of new polytechnic college in Sangaldan, formation of new ration cards in the area, more roads under PMGSY, double laning of road from Ramban to Gool, park in Sangaldan area, upgradation of middle schools to high schools, adequate staff in schools and health centres, new poles and transformers, more JK Bank branches and new Khidmat Centres in Sangaldan Gool area, railway compensation to the people etc.
