JAMMU, Mar 9: The All India Jammu Kashmir Bank Officers Federation (AIJKBOF) has hoped that post Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s commendations for the performance of J&K Bank, the hurdles in their career progression would also be removed.
The Federation viewed the Prime Minister’s recognition as a significant boost for the bank’s workforce, motivating them to strive even harder towards achieving their envisioned goals.
A statement issued by AIJKBOF has seen PM Modi’s detailed appraisal of the bank’s operations during his speech as a validation of the collective efforts put in by the entire team, from planners to frontline staff, who have consistently tackled challenges since the bank’s inception in 1938.
“Overcoming obstacles in pivotal years such as 1947, 1990, 2008, and 2018, the bank’s dedicated employees, driven by unwavering dedication and loyalty, have not only weathered storms but have also made sacrifices, including foregoing wages in 1947 and even laying down their lives in 1990 to safeguard the institution’s interests,” reads the Federation’s statement.
The federation anticipated that this recognition will not only lead to acknowledgment and appreciation of the staff’s dedication, loyalty, and discipline but also facilitate the removal of hurdles in career progression.
Additionally, they hoped for the release of benefits accrued under the 9th joint note signed in Mumbai between the United Forum of Bank Unions and the Indian Banks Association, along with honoring mutual agreements between the Federation and the Bank Management on various occasions.
Expressing gratitude to the All India Bank Officers Association for the historic opportunity extended to the Federation leadership to participate in the signing of the 9th joint note on March 8, 2024, the Federation reiterated its commitment to providing uninterrupted banking services to the nation’s citizens, even during challenging times.
