JAMMU, Nov 24: President All India Jat Mahasabha (AIJMS) J&K, Ch. Manmohan Singh along with his team toured border villages Kalsian, Bhawani, Gania, Langer, Chowki, Chowki Handan, Nonial in Nowshera and listened the problems being faced by Jat community people living there.
During visit Manmohan gave Rs. 2 lakh to Mohinder Lal at Kalsian village from ‘Jat Welfare Fund’. Mohinder had lost his wife in an electrocution accident which left him injured after which he was shifted to GMC Jammu. Manmohan Singh also gave Rs. 20,000 from his pocket to Mohinder and assured him all possible help besides further helping the family with Rs. 1 lakh cash.
He contacted all the concerned authorities for financial compensation to the victim family and assistance in rebuilding their houses which was destroyed in electrocution.
Manmohan issued another cheque of Rs 2 lakh to the victim for rehabilitation and this money was contributed by community.
AIJMS leader visited Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Sukhdev Singh Samyal and narrated the predicament of the family and negligence of authorities in providing them support. The ADC assured to forward the compensation file and send some engineers to access dimensions to start work of house rebuilding at the earliest.
Manmohan Singh then visited Kalsian where he handed a cheque of Rs. 10,000 to Kashmiri, who is totally blind and handicapped due to sever deformity of his arm and his two children were forced to quit studies for lack of money.
Youth Jat Sabha president, Ajay Choudhary offered to cover all expenses for their education and books of the children and people also offered to cover additional expense of their uniforms etc.
Manmohan Singh than visited Sub Gain Chand at village Langer, Capt Moti Ram and Ch Bachan Panchi at Nowshera, all about 85 and sought guidance from them.
During two days tour Choudhary met various delegations of community and stressed upon the youth to follow good path and to keep away from wasting their life.
