AIKS takes Govt to task for migrants problems

JAMMU, Oct 5: Expressing his serious concern over large scale infiltration across the LoC, president All India Kashmiri Samaj (AIKS), Moti Kaul said this has once again established the nefarious designs of Pakistan in escalating militancy in the State.
Mr Kaul, while having an interactive meet with displaced Pandits here said under the continued vicious atmosphere while the PM’s dialogue with Pakistan was unwarranted, political leaders from the State are adding fuel to the fire by giving controversial statements.
While giving details of international seminar held in UK by Indo-European Kashmir Forum on KPs plight, Mr Kaul complimented Marcus Jones and other MPs from UK for their unequivocal support to the struggle of KPs in exile.
He also praised Mr Jones for his statement that the dignified and structured return of KPs shall be litmus test for the local administration and all stakeholders.
Mr Kaul informed the members of the community that he apprised the dignitaries in the seminar about the horror of terrorism and mass exodus of the community that took place in 1990.
He also expressed concern over the plight of employees appointed under PM package in Kashmir who have been subjected to stone pelting recently and alleged that it is matter of concern that administration is not taking steps to look into the problems of these employees.
Mr Kaul who also presided over a meeting of Prem Nath Bhat Memorial Trust here expressed concern over the delay in passage of Temples and Shrines Bill. He gave the status report of the petition filed by AIKS in Supreme Court and which came for hearing on September 20.
The AIKS chief also expressed concern over the continuous discrimination to which Jammu region has been subjected to and accused the State Government of arms twisting in getting the package for Jammu migrants sanctioned from Government of India.
