JAMMU, Aug 31: All Migrant Camps Coordination Committee (AIMCC) has expressed serious concern over denial of ration to Kashmiri migrants for last three months.
The AIMCCC in a statement issued here, today said it is unfortunate that Kashmiri displaced Pandits are going through tough times as no ration (Rice, Atta) is being provided to them for last three months which has generated a lot of resentment among the community and the condition of many families is very pathetic as they are unable to purchase the same from open market.
The AIMCCC said relief holders who are being paid a meager amount of Rs.3250/ per month per soul does not suffice them to fulfill their daily needs for survival.
In this regard AIMCCC Jagti Unit has taken up the issue with Chief Secretary JKUT, Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Director Food Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Jammu during these months for resolving of this burning problem but nothing was done so far.
The meeting said KPs are leading an exiled life for last 33 years now and the Government instead ensuring their rehabilitation in their homeland Kashmir is unfortunately putting them to more hardships and miseries by not addressing their day to day problems.
The AIMCCC warned the administration that if the ration is not released immediately, the entire community will be forced to come on roads for which the administration would be responsible.
