AIMCCC delegation calls on Div Comm

JAMMU, July 31: A delegation of All India Migrant Camp Coordination Committee (AIMCCC) called on Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, Sanjeev Verma here today, and discussed the problems of Jagti township inmates with him. The delegation was led by AIMCCC chief, Desh Rattan Pandita and senior vice president Daljeet Singh.
The delegation sought intervention of Divisional Commissioner for construction of bore wells which have been delayed as the township inmates are facing water scarcity problem. Even the water which is supplied to the township is impure and many people are facing problem of water borne diseases.
It also demanded that a sanitation drive be launched in the camp as total insanitation prevails there causing health hazards. Besides construction of two gate walls in the township were also demanded by the delegation.
The delegation demanded that only recognized migrant organizations be considered for discussing the community issues , announcement of amnesty scheme for relief holders to correct the records, implementation of Ayushman Bharat scheme for migrants also and deployment of night staff at Jagti Hospital.
The Divisional Commissioner issued directives to concerned officers to take the cognizance of these issue and settle them on priority basis.
Roop Krishan Raina, Kulwant Singh, S.N Gutroo, Vinoo Misri, Satish Saproo and other AIMCCC activists were in the delegation.
