JAMMU, July 21: A deputation of All India Migrant Camp Coordination Committee (AIMCCC) Jagti met Dy Mayor Municipal Corporation Jammu , Purnima Sharma at her office here, today under leadership of Desh Rattan Pandita.
Various problems being faced in camps and non camps by the community were discussed and the ways for their solution were also part of discussion. Moreover, the impure drinking water supplied to Jagti people resulting in health hazards due to various waterborne diseases among inmates at Jagti township was also brought in her notice.
Dy Mayor was also requested to help in implementing the various skill development programmes and other social welfare schemes among the displaced ladies in Jammu, particularly in Jagti township who are till date deprived of them.
Dy Mayor assured all possible help and support for the redressal of problems. She was also invited to visit Jagti township on convenient day.
Other members of the deputation included P .N Jalai , B K Raina, J L Raina, O N Booni, Sagar Koul, Anjli Kar and Santosh Hali.
