AIMCCC discusses problems of displaced Pandits

JAMMU, Feb 7: All India Migrant Camp Coordination Committee (AIMCCC) held a meeting at Jagti township today under the chairmanship of its president, Desh Rattan Pandita in which various problems of displaced pundits were discussed.
In the meeting Ashok Raina was appointed as secretary and media in charge along with Vinoo Misri. Jawahar Lal was appointed as joint secretary AIMCCC.
In his address Desh Rattan Pandita, chairman of the organisation stressed on the need to work with dedication to overcome the challenges in fulfilling the long pending demands faced by the community and the hurdles created by the vested interests.
Chairman, AIMCCC, Bal Krishan Raina stressed the members to rededicate themselves in mitigating the sufferings of the community. He stressed on working unitedly to face all the challenges in future including rehabilitation of the community in accordance to its geo-political aspirations.
Ashok Raina another leader of AIMCCC said that the training and skill programmes conducted for the migrant community by Government is an ‘eye wash’. “If the present Government was so serious about the community, why didn’t it announce jobs and allotment of small entrepreneurs to qualified and deserving candidates and compensation to overaged youth’’, he asked?.
Senior leader P N Jalali stressed on the Relief Commissioner to allot the community a suitable premises for the office, which has been a long pending demand. The vote of thanks was proposed by the president of organisation, Desh Rattan Pandita.
Others who attended the meeting included joint secretary, M M Kanth, secretary, Jawahar Lal and media incharge Vinoo Misri youth secretary, Mahila Wing district president, Meenu Misri, Anil Kumar Mehta, Suresh Nehru and O N Koul.
