JAMMU, June 28: A meeting of All India Migrant Camp Coordination Committee (AIMCCC) was held at Jagti Township under the leadership of its president, Desh Ratten Pandita today.
While addressing the meeting Pandita said, that the Kashmiri Pandits being aborigines of Valley be involved in holy Amarnath Yatra as from times immemorial the community was involved in organising this holy yatra.
He demanded that at least the two members of the community be inducted in the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB) and also the Puja be also performed at the holy shrine in a traditional way by involving the religious scholars of the community. This will also lead to the confidence building measures and pave way for the community’s return to their ancestral land where from they were forced out by the anti national elements.
He appealed Government to arrange free buses on the pattern of Kheer Bhawani for Amarnath Yatra for migrants from camps to Pahalgam.
