AIMCCC, package employees, JKCCTU delegations call on CS

JAMMU, Dec 20: Various delegations called on Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo here and highlighted their demands before him.
The delegations which met the Chief Secretary included All India Migrant Camp Coordination Committee (AIMCCC), All PMP Employees Welfare Association Sringar and Jammu and Kashmir Coordination Committee of Trade Unions (JKCCTU).
The AIMCCC delegation was led by its president, Desh Rattan accompanied by B K Raina, vice president, P N Jalali, general secretary, Jawahar Lal Raina, advisor Daljeet Singh , Kulwant Singh and Binoo Singh and submitted a memorandum on various demands of displaced Pandits to him.
It demanded construction of bore wells in Jagti for improving water supply, implementation of Central Government schemes, removal of encroachments on migrant land, minority status to KPs, enhancement of cash assistance, permanent rehabilitation of KPs, compensation of orchards/agriculture land, settling pendency cases, compensation to overaged youth and employment package of more 20,000 jobs.
The ALL PMP Employees Welfare Association Srinagar Kashmir (APWASK) also met Chief Secretary and appealed him to address pressing concerns affecting the PM package employees in the Valley.
Members of Team APWASK apprised Atal Dulloo of the significant challenges and issues confronted by the PM package employees in the Kashmir region. The discussions encompassed various crucial matters that directly impact the welfare and livelihoods of these employees.
Atal Dulloo assured the members of Team APWASK of the Government’s continuous efforts and proactive measures to alleviate the challenges faced by PM package employees.
A delegation of J&K Coordination Committee of Trade Unions (JKCCTU) led by its president, Mohammad Maqbool also called on Chief Secretary and submitted a memorandum to him.
The memorandum demanded revival of old pension scheme , releasing of pensionary benefits like gratuity, GP fund etc to the recently retired employees, regularisation and wage increase of daily wagers, , revoking of recent MO issued by GAD regarding banning of demonstrations and strikes which it termed is against basic constitutional rights, settlement of pending pensioners ceases. The Chief Secretary assured to look into the demands.
