AIMCCC’s plea to LG administration

JAMMU, June 29: All India Migrant Camp Coordination Committee (AIMCCC) has appealed the LG administration for implementation of all State and Central Government schemes on Kashmiri- migrants also as they are the part and parcel of J&K UT.
While briefing members of community, AIMCCC leaders said that the Kashmiri Pandits who are the victims of genocide have lost each and every kind of property movable and immovable. But it is unfortunate that no welfare scheme of the Government is being implemented for KP’s. It is un fortunate on the part of the Government that whenever the old age, handicapped and others from the community apply for the social welfare or any other schemes, they are being avoided and exempted by saying that they are being provided relief.
While addressing the meeting AIMCCC president, Desh Rattan said that Government must come with a concrete plan and programme regarding KPs. The Government should have a clear cut policy on these hapless people leading an exiled life for over 33 years now due to wrong policies of previous governments.
He said that Government needs to redress the problems of displaced people by giving them benefits of all Government schemes. Moreover, it should take a firm decision on the rehabilitation of displaced people in their homeland Kashmir in accordance to their geo-political aspirations.
