JAMMU, May 14: All India Punjab National Bank Officers Association (AIPNBOA) Jammu Unit organised 6th triennial conference of Jammu Circle, here.
The meeting was attended by the AIPNBOA Central leadership namely General Secretary Dilip Saha, President Sreekumar, Chairman Amitabh Bhomick, Working President Kaushik Gosh, DGS Satish Chojer, Vice President Subrata Paul, Organising Secretary TP Sharma, AGS Amritsar Rajeev Arora, AGS Meerut Gaurav Kishore, Circle Secretaries and Presidents from Jalandhar, Pathankot, Amritsar, Ludhiana, Patiala and Mohali.
The guest of honour was Circle Head PNB Jammu Circle, Rakesh Sharma. The meeting was attended by all the members of the AIPNBOA Jammu Unit.
Circle President Sham Lal opened the conference with a welcome address. Circle Secretary Vishal Verma presented Secretary Report among members and also spoke about the significance and the role played by the Association in the Bank.
The keynote speaker was general secretary Dilip Saha who talked extensively about the changes and challenges faced by the Bank and the employees and how the Association is successful in getting staff the best of welfare policies by utilizing all the forums meant for dialogue with the Management be it Central MRM, Zonal MRM or Circle MRM.
The other leaders, who spoke on the occasion, also highlighted the significance of the Association and its continuous resolve to oppose the Government’s move of privatization of Public Sector Banks as it is not in the interest of the people who would be badly affected by any privatization of PSBs.
Circle Head Jammu Rakesh Sharma expressed satisfaction about the Bank’s business in the Jammu Circle and praised all the staff members for their immense contribution in continuous growth of the Bank in Jammu Circle.
On the occasion, Jammu Circle President Sham Lal was also felicitated on his superannuation. The program ended with a vote of thanks by Circle President Sham Lal and AIPNBOA Jammu Unit expressing its gratitude to the central leadership for its continuous support to all the issues of Jammu and Srinagar Circles.
